Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Was a Prophet!

The late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was not just a civil rights leader, but he was a prophet! On April 4, 2008 scores of people will travel to Memphis,Tennessee to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of his assasination!

Time to rethink our theology?!? In the old school church Dr. King was not considered to be saved. In the new school church he is not considered to be filled with the Holy Ghost. This is because Dr. King, and others used of God from non-Pentecostal denominations, did NOT speak in tongues. If our Pentecostal theology is absolutely correct, how can we consider a man to be a prophet if he was, at best, not filled with the Holy Ghost and at worst, not born again? (no evidence of the Holy Ghost)

Dr. King was obviously (in hindsight) a prophet of God, who preached under the anointing of the Holy Ghost and was filled with the Holy Ghost. A man of conviction, character and integrity; although far from sinless. He along with many other Christian believers from non-Pentecostal denominations are apparently saved, filled and used tremendously by our God without the evidence of speaking in tongues.

Therefore, I must conclude that speaking in tongues is A evidence of the indwelling of the Holy Ghost, not THE evidence of the Holy Ghost. What are your thoughts???
